Bree’s Sweet Treats is an old-fashioned bakery with a youthful touch. Breana “Bree” Britt started the bakery in 2011 when she was only 12 years old. First an online operation, Bree began baking cupcakes and cookies for friends, family and members of her local church. But the orders started coming in and the bakery took off.
Breana "Bree" Britt
Bree got a head start on learning how to bake. Her love for all things confectionary began when she was only 5 years old. While her father was serving in the Army, he suffered a traumatic brain injury during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Her great-grandmothers Lily and Eva began teaching Bree to bake as a distraction. The more Bree baked, the more she loved the process. She started inventing her own recipes. Her thirst to know more turned into classes at the local community college and a Wilton School of Baking course to perfect her designs. Through the support of her family, especially her mother Charmaine, Bree has grown her love of baking into a full-time business. She balances her entrepreneurial spirit with the life of a 16-year-old, from learning to drive to holding selfie competitions with friends and remaining an honor student at St. Mary’s Ryken High School. She strives to be innovative in all of her creations, constantly developing new flavors and designs. She hopes to continue to pursue her passion and that everyone enjoys her unique desserts.
